On Thursday, March 7th, Transformative Parenting presents an evening with Dr. Gordon Neufeld, bestselling author of “Hold On to Your Kids,” and a Vancouver-based clinical and developmental psychologist specializing in children and those who care for them.

Concerned about the direction children are heading in a culture that pushes for kids to depend on each other instead of their parents, Dr. Neufeld will present “Alpha Children: Reclaiming our Rightful Places in Their Lives.” He will discuss the increasing number of children who can be classified as bossy, controlling, and demanding – generally a symptom of the lack of authority they receive from their parents. This can lead to bullying, and tend to make children difficult to parent. Dr. Neufeld will offer ways for parents to take back the reins, placing them back into the Alpha role to give their kids a more secure and safe childhood.
Todd Sarner MA MFT, Director of Transformative Parenting, and who has trained under Dr. Neufeld, uses Neufeld’s approach – not only through his practice, but in raising his own young son.

Tickets to “Alpha Children: Reclaiming our Rightful Places in Their Lives” are $25 in advance, and $30 at the door. The seminar is expected to fill up quickly, so it’s suggested to buy early.
