With thanksgiving coming up, here are 6 fun ways you can instill lessons of gratitude in your family. My personal favorite is the “thankful tree”, hanging slips of paper on a tree every day listing the many things to be thankful for.

Winterblast: An uber cool nighttime street festival that involves art, music, and a parade of sofas through Santa Rosa’s SOFA Arts District. Free admission. 5-8 p.m. South A St & Sebastopol Ave., Santa Rosa.

Sunday, Nov 18
Free museum day: In honor of Sparky’s birthday, the Charles Schulz museum is offering free admission all day (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.). While there, watch and talk to the cartoonist and creator of “Kid Beowulf”, Alexis E. Fajardo from 1-3 p.m. 2301 Hardies Ln., Santa Rosa.

Sunday, Nov. 18
Train Day: Check out operating train layouts when Hobby Town Petaluma breaks out the Thomas and Chugginton train tables and presents many train themed activities throughout the day. Plus, all train set purchases are 10% off. 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Free, all ages. 171 N. McDowell Blvd., Petaluma.
